Today, T-Mobile announced that they’re not slowing down on their continued expansion of HSPA+ roll outs. The Magenta carrier is on track and aims to cover over 185 million people by the end of the year in more than 100 metropolitan markets. If you’re living in an HSPA+ coverage area, you’ll be pleased to know that 16 T-Mobile 3G devices can now take advantage of the increased speeds. Looking for some hardware news? The webConnect Rocket USB stick will get a broader roll out in the form of the Rocket 2.0 with swivel form factor which we nailed last week. And finally, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook will start to become available in retail stores which you can pair with that shiny new Rocket 2.0, also just like we called. One of our ninjas just dropped some tantalizing and blurry details for us to feast on. We’ve been informed that T-Mobile will be releasing the Motorola CLIQ XT on March 10th, the HTC HD2 (listed as “Dark Handset” on the screen capture) is confirmed on March 24th, and a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook, complete with T-Mobile broadband access, on the 24th as well. Our connect also mentions the launch of Even More 1.5, but no details were given. Looks like it is going to be a pretty busy month for the number four carrier in the U.S. Hit the break for one more shot!

Another netbook gets the Mac OS X treatment. Both the MSI Wind and the Asus Eee PC have seen a successful OS X install. Now it’s the Dell Inspiron Mini’s turn and its transformation into a Mini-Mac appears to be relatively easy. To begin,  you will need to get a hold of a slipstreamed version of OS 10.5 that has been customized for the MSI Wind. Shh, you didn’t hear it from us, but you can find it on Pirate Bay. Burn the 3.5GB .iso to DVD, boot, and install. At this point you will have an Inspiron Mini-Mac that boots into OS X without audio or Wi-Fi. Install two additional files to enable the Broadcom wireless adapter and the audio chipset, and voila, you now have a fully functional Dell Inspiron Mini 9 running OS X.  Awesome! Kudos to Dan over at UNEASYsilence who pioneered this procedure. You rock, brotherman.
