Unreleased versions of Apple’s MacBook Pro and iMac computers have appeared in a Geekbench database maintained by benchmark testing software provider Primate Labs. Designated as “MacBookPro9,1″ and “iMac13,2,” a number of preliminary specifications for each model have been revealed in the publicly available test results, which were first uncovered by forum members posting to MacRumors. Apple’s upcoming laptop and all-in-one desktop computers have long been expected to feature new Core i5 and Core i7 Ivy Bridge processors from Intel, and the Geekbench results indeed show a quad-core 2.7 GHz Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7-3820QM processor in the unannounced MacBook Pro, and a 3.4GHz Intel Ivy Bridge Core i7-3770 quad-core processor in the iMac. The new models may be unveiled during the keynote at Apple’s annual Worldwide Developer Conference, which will take place on June 11th, and it is unclear if the laptop model referenced in the benchmark results is the new ultra-thin 15-inch MacBook Pro model expected to be released this summer.

As Samsung and Apple continue to sue each other all over the world, Apple has repeatedly asserted that the South Korea-based vendor builds “copycat” devices that make unlawful use of Apple’s patents and steal elements of Apple’s designs. Only one court has wholeheartedly agreed with Apple’s claims thus far, but the battles continue and will likely carry on for quite some time despite renewed settlement talks. An image of a new Samsung smartphone was published on Wednesday evening and while the specs that leaked alongside the unannounced device may or may not be accurate, one thing is certain: Apple will never claim Samsung copied its designs with this smartphone.

A photograph of the Samsung SPH-L300 smartphone was published by BriefMobile on Wednesday, and the handset reportedly features a dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a WVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera, 4G LTE and a design that is a substantial departure from Samsung’s typical styling in a number of ways.

For one thing, the device’s capacitive Android navigation buttons appear to be etched into the plastic case beneath the display. For another, the look of the smartphone is a blatant ripoff of HTC’s design aesthetic. Replace the etched Ice Cream Sandwich buttons with a trackball, and the yet-to-be-released SPH-L300 could definitely be mistaken for the 28-month-old Nexus One. Even without any changes, this handset could easily be mistaken for any one of a dozen old HTC phones.

HTC has bigger concerns right now, and a door through which it might walk, so we doubt we’ll see any lawsuits pop up over the striking similarities between this upcoming Samsung phone and its older handsets, even though “other designs are possible.”

A number of unannounced devices currently being developed by Research In Motion have been revealed by the alpha software included on the developer preview phone the vendor distributed last week. BlackBerry watcher N4BB discovered a number of code-names referencing unannounced BlackBerry devices in RIM’s BlackBerry 10 alpha software, several of which are expected to run the Waterloo, Ontario-based vendor’s next-generation BlackBerry 10 operating system when they launch in the future. Among the devices referenced are the Colt, RIM’s developer phone that will not be made available to the public, and the London, which is expected to launch in October as the first BlackBerry 10 phone. Other devices referenced in RIM’s BlackBerry 10 alpha code are the Blackforest, thought to be a 10-inch PlayBook tablet, as well as the Nevada, Naples and Nashville, all thought to be upcoming BlackBerry 10 smartphones.

Apple’s upcoming high-definition television is real, and it will reportedly feature an aluminum construction, Siri, FaceTime video calling and more. An anonymous source speaking with Cult of Mac claims to have seen a prototype of Apple’s upcoming “iTV” in action, and a number of details have been reinforced as a result. “It resembled an Apple monitor, only much larger,” the unnamed source told the site, referring to the aluminum LED Cinema Displays Apple currently sells alongside its Mac computers. Cult of Mac, which has revealed accurate details surrounding unannounced Apple products in the past, also reports that the HDTV will feature Siri, Apple’s sophisticated voice recognition software, and an iSight camera for FaceTime video calling. Many expect Apple to launch its debut television later this year, though a recent report suggests that it may not hit the market until 2014.

Facebook will set its share price range between the high-$20s and mid-$30s when it makes its initial public offering later this month, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday. According to the paper’s unnamed sources, the company is seeking a valuation of between $85 billion and $95 billion. Facebook is expected to make its offering on May 18th following a series of meetings with investors, and it could raise as much as $10 billion according to earlier reports. Facebook’s IPO is expected to be the largest such offering in history by an Internet company, besting Google’s $1.9 billion 2004 offering by a wide margin.

UPDATE: Facebook will offer 337.4 million shares priced between $28 and $35 per share, StreetInsider.com reports. According to CNBC, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg will personally sell 30.2 million shares when Facebook makes its public offering, valued at roughly $1 billion.

A leaked part said to be destined for Apple’s next-generation iPhone may quell rumors that the Cupertino, California-based company is working on a teardrop-shaped Liquidmetal case for the next iPhone. Listed as “Replacement Sim Card Tray Holder Slot For Apple iPhone 5,” parts vendor sw-box.com has made what it claims to be SIM card trays for the sixth-generation iPhone available for purchase on its site. If the part is authentic, the most notable observation is that the new SIM tray is nearly identical to the part found in the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. While Apple’s next iPhone may still feature a redesigned case, Cult of Mac points out that the use of a flat aluminum tray in the new iPhone would likely indicate that the handset’s case will not utilize curved Liquidmetal alloy, as previously reported.

We have seen a number of leaked images showing a variety of handsets said to be the Galaxy S3 trickle out over the past few weeks. According to reports, this is by design — Samsung reportedly housed test versions of its next-generation Galaxy smartphone in a number of decoy cases in order to prevent the actual design from leaking ahead of the phone’s unveiling. On Tuesday, however, Samsung blog SamMobile.com published photos of what it claims to be the final release version of the Galaxy S3. The unannounced handset shown features a sleek design, a unique rounded glass face and a 12-megapixel camera, and a screenshot shows handset model number GT-i9300 and Android version 4.0.4. The site’s source says Samsung also plans to unveil a second device at its upcoming press conference, the GT-i9800, however no additional information was made available. Samsung’s next Galaxy smartphone will be unveiled on Thursday during a press conference in London. A second leaked photo of the purported Galaxy S3 follows below.

A Reddit user by the name of DroidTosser claims to have the inside scoop on Verizon’s Android update schedule, and has posted the images to back their story up. According the photos, the HTC Rezound is slated receive an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on May 9th, followed by the DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX on May 21st. Verizon’s first Honeycomb tablet, the Motorola XOOM is currently awaiting “technical approval” and will be updated directly by Google. The DROID Bionic, HTC Thunderbolt, LG Revolution, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Sony Xperia Play are all in testing, however the updates aren’t labeled as Ice Cream Sandwich builds and may just refer to bug fixes. We received a photo of what looks like it could be Samsung’s upcoming flagship handset, the Samsung Galaxy S3. Although it isn’t confirmed at this point, this is one of the most compelling images we have seen so far. We’ll know in a couple days if this is the real deal but compared to all the decoys we’ve seen, we definitely hope the flagship smartphone Samsung unveils next week ends up looking like this instead. This phone also matches up exactly with what we have reported, something many people have continued to miss — the Galaxy S3 will have a physical button in the center beneath the display.

It appears that Samsung’s purported efforts to mask the launch version of its upcoming next-generation Galaxy smartphone have once again paid off. A new image of the Galaxy S III has emerged on a Chinese forum, though the look (and name) of the device will likely be different when the new flagship phone is finally unveiled next week. Few new details can be gleaned from this new leak, though it appears that Samsung may have taken some liberties with the stock on-screen navigation buttons in Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy phone is expected to feature a quad-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor, a high-definition Super AMOLED display, 4G LTE, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and a ceramic case available in either blue or white. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S III next week at a press conference in London.

The HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE has been outed on Verizon’s “Droid Does” website. The new Incredible is equipped with a 4-inch qHD Super LCD display, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD slot and an 8-megapixel rear camera — possibly the same one found on HTC’s One-series smartphones. The handset also runs HTC’s latest Sense 4.0 skin atop Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. In line with Verizon’s other 4G LTE smartphones, the latest Incredible will seemingly be offered for $299.99 alongside a new two-year agreement. The DROID Incredible 4G LTE has since been removed from Verizon’s site and there is no word from Verizon regarding a release date.

To start off what will undoubtedly be a long series of part leaks ahead of Apple’s next-generation iPhone launch, China-based parts retailer TVC-Mall has made what it claims to be “iPhone 5″ home buttons available for purchase on its site. “Are you interested in the iPhone 5 which will come out soon?” the company wrote on its website. “Different from iPhone 4S 4, the iPhone 5 home button is round in the centre and square outside as the pictures show.” The home buttons are available for purchase in both black and white, and no other information regarding the next-generation iPhone was made available. TVC-Mall has sold authentic iPhone parts ahead of official Apple launches in the past. BGR reported last December that Apple plans to launch a redesigned iPhone this coming fall.

Apple’s next-generation iPhone will reportedly make use of new display technology that will allow the device to utilize thinner components without sacrificing responsiveness. Citing anonymous sources within Apple’s component supply chain, DigiTimes on Friday reported that Apple’s new iPhone will utilize in-cell touch panels rather than industry-standard on-cell technology. In-cell touch panel technology allows a device’s touch sensors to reside inside a display’s color filters rather than above them, and the result is a thinner, lighter panel. According to the report, the new displays will be manufactured by Sharp and Toshiba Mobile Display, and production will ramp up in the second quarter followed by a launch some time in the third quarter this year. BGR reported last December that Apple plans to launch a completely redesigned iPhone with a new antenna system and a unibody case this fall. A separate recent report suggested that the new iPhone’s case could be made from the Liquidmetal alloys Apple licensed in 2010.

New images and video of the unannounced next-generation Galaxy S smartphone were published on Friday morning. The source, Vietnamese blog Tinhte, has a solid track record of publishing images, videos and other details surrounding unreleased devices, and the smartphone shown off by the blog is believed to be authentic. In an interesting twist, however, this may not be the Galaxy S III we see announced on May 3rd during Samsung’s “Unpacked” event in London. Read on for more.

The smartphone pictured carries the model number i9300, which a trusted BGR source has confirmed belongs to the next-generation Galaxy S smartphone. According to Tinhte, the phone features a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, a 4.6-inch 720p HD display, Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, NFC and a 2,050 mAh battery. These specs vary in several instances with the numerous details reported earlier by BGR, and Tinhte may have the explanation why.

According to the blog, this device is likely close to the final version of the phone, however Samsung has taken measures to prevent the finished design from leaking ahead of the vendor’s upcoming announcement. Loosely translated from Tinhte’s post, which has since been removed, ”Samsung has used a fake outer shell designed to ensure the machine is not exposed until it is unveiled.” The blog’s video has vanished along with its original post, however Engadget managed to download a copy that is still available on its site.

The launch version is expected to appear in a ceramic and metal or metal-look case, and two color options will be blue and white. BGR has also been told that there will be 16GB and 32GB models available at launch, and Samsung is planning a massive marketing blitz that will see the Galaxy S III become the official handset of the 2012 Olympic Summer Games.

Images of an unannounced Samsung smartphone were published by Gizmodo Brasil on Wednesday evening, and they may reveal the South Korea-based vendor’s next flagship handset. The quality of the leaked images is very poor, but the basic look of the device can be made out along with the presence of a wide home button and a unique oval-shaped glass panel covering the display. Gizmodo Brasil’s source states that the model number of the phone is i9300 — which a BGR source has previously stated is indeed the model number of the Galaxy S III — and the device pictured reportedly features a 12-megapixel camera. The Galaxy S III is expected to feature a 4.8-inch 1080p HD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor, 4G LTE, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and an ultra-thin case made of ceramic, and Samsung will likely announce the new flagship smartphone during a press conference on May 3rd.
