Whoops. While speaking about the future of its netbook platform, Samsung inadvertently detailed a handful of unannounced ARM mobile chipsets that it plans release over the next three. The chipsets start off with the Taurus (S5PV210), a single core Cortex-A8 CPU that clocks in at 1GHz, and culminate with the heavy hitting Aquila which boasts of a quad-core Cortex-A9 running at 1.2-GHz. According to the roadmap, the rest of the eight chipsets include the following:

• Taurus (S5PV210): Single core Cortex-A8 at 1GHz. Due out in Q3 2010.
• Mercury: Single core Cortex-A5 (Sparrow) at 600MHz. To debut late 2010.
• Orion: Dual Core Cortex-A9 Dual Core at 800MHz which offers software compatibility with the Taurus. Expected to enter into production in Q1 2011.
• Pegasus: Single core Cortex-A9 1GHZ. Set for Q4 2011.
• Hercules: Dual core Cortex-A9 at 1GHZ. Scheduled for Q1 2012.
• Venus: Another Cortex-A5 based endeavor which will double the fun of the Mercury by offering a 600-MHz dual-core processor. Expected to hit production in late 2012 or early 2013.
• Draco: A 1.2-GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core expected to enter mass production in late 2012 or early 2013.
• Aquila: Doubles the Draco with its quad-core, 1.2-GHz, Cortex-A9 processor. The Aquila is also slated to enter mass production in late 2012 or early 2013.

Samsung didn’t not pair these mobile powerhouses with any GPUs or mobile operating systems, but we’re assuming we’ll see them alongside Android, Chrome and Ubuntu devices.

Now before you get too excited about the bevy of rumored handsets listed below, we want to be extra clear in stating that this is rumor. A definite rumor. A steaming pile of rumor. And so on. While the source of this list has proven somewhat reliable in the past, it is also a bit loose at times with tipster-sourced information. Ok, enough with the disclaimer… Feast your eyes on a laundry list of low and mid-range handsets (and the Storm 2) reportedly headed to Verizon in the near future:

When it rains, it pours — and if this newly leaked deck turns out to be the real deal, it’s definitely pouring over at Sprint right now. Phone News claims to have gotten its hands on a roadmap revealing the entirety of Sprint’s upcoming line up for the first three quarters of 2009 and, well, things are looking pretty good. We have no reason to doubt the authenticity of the slides for the time being so we’ll let the deck do the talking. Highlights include affirmation of a Q2 Palm Pre release (shown above with model number P100), the BlackBerry Niagra dropping towards the end of Q3 and a handful of Samsung and HTC handsets that should keep the Windows Mobile crowd happy. Anxiously awaiting the hot new handsets from HTC? The wait might not be over but the mystery of what handsets HTC has in store for us in 2009 has certainly been solved – compliments of Arlen at PPC Geeks, the entire 2009 lineup for HTC has been leaked. The new HTC handsets include the Touch HD Pro which will make its appearance on Verizon and Sprint, the HTC Iolite and Iolite II, HTC’s Android offering, the HTC hero, the Tungsten for T-Mobile and the HTC Jasper for Sprint. AT&T will apparently be getting the Topaz and the Barium. There are 25 handsets in all and include the following:
