Although not a soul alive is shocked by the news, today Verizon Wireless announced it will be releasing the HTC Imagio — its first Windows Mobile 6.5 device — online starting October 6th. The Imagio, known to most by its codename Whitestone, will feature the following key specs: 3.6″ WVGA touchscreen display (resistive, of course), 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, Wi-Fi, EV-DO Rev. A, quad-band EDGE and 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA for international roaming. Being a WinMo device from HTC, TouchFLO 3D is naturally included while Verizon will be chipping in MediaFLO support for those who are willing to part with an extra $15 per month. So what will the Imagio cost come its big day? $199.99 on a 2-year deal after a $100 MIR which isn’t all that shabby, all things considered.

As this never ending gobstopper of a slide deck continues to maintain its flavor and AT&T execs surely continue to steam from the ears, we’re seeing quite the range in AT&T’s upcoming lineup. Suffice it to say, there really is something for everyone. Just about every space on the spectrum is covered and perhaps no two handsets illustrate this more than these two from LG. The HQ, or Herald, is a pretty basic 20-key messaging phone with Windows Mobile 6.1, tri-band UMTS, a 2 megapixel camera, microSDHC support and a 320 x 240 display. The “Opera TV” on the other hand — despite its ridiculous codename — is a high end MediaFLO-enabled touchscreen handset with LG’s S-Class UI, dual-band UMTS, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, a 5 megapixel camera and a 3-inch WVGA display that supports 16 million colors. We have seen it breeze through the FCC and make a recent appearance on an AT&T rebate sheet; now it is time for the Samsung Jack to get official from Samsung and AT&T. This successor to the popular Samsung Blackjack and Blackjack II will feature quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS / HSDPA, front-facing QWERTY keyboard, 256 MB RAM, 3.2 megapixel camera with video-capture, microSDHC support, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and aGPS with AT&T Navigator support. Also of note, the handset will launch with Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard but will be upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 once it’s ready. Woo! The Jack will be available from AT&T starting May 19th and will debut for a mere $100 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a 2-year contract.

This freshly leaked little guy from LG isn’t exactly a marvel of modern design, but word on the street has it making its way to North and South America in the near future. Pogo Flipster* anyone? Apparently positioned as an update to the LG HB620T TV phone, the GM630 maintains the same look and shape but thankfully ditches that annoying little antenna. As far as known specs go, they certainly aren’t going to knock you out of your seat: GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth, FM radio, microSD slot, 2 megapixel camera and, of course, TV accessible via a dedicated button. Assuming it does in fact hit the US and it falls into the very affordable category, we can see some people snagging one as a cheap option for a MediaFLO-ready handset. Ahhh, nothing says new upcoming handset like a good old gray-scale sketch. Our pals at the FCC just put their seal of approval on a brand-spanking-new 3G smartphone from Samsung bound for AT&T some time in the near future. While little is known about Sammy’s i637 for the time being, it’s probably a safe bet to assume we’re looking at a nice big touchscreen and maybe a button or three beneath it — a form factor the company has most certainly grown fond of in recent history. Here’s what we know:

• Windows Mobile
• Quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS / HSDPA
• Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR
• Wi-Fi
• MediaFLO support (AT&T’s mobile TV service)
• Camera, unknown resolution

It’s nice to see AT&T line up another MediaFLO-ready handset as it continues to push the service to a wider audience. More info regarding the i637 surely isn’t far off at this point it could turn out to be a spiffy little smartphone.

For all you guys and gals who have been excited about this phone, for one reason or another, it’s all yours through AT&T’s website. The Samsung SGH-A867, dubbed “Eternity,”  has just hit corporate stores but if you don’t live near one of those then this is the way to go. Whip out your credit card and see $149.99 disappear (after mail-in rebate, of course) for this little cousin of the Behold. What more could you ask for for such a reasonable price? You’re getting 3G / HSDPA, a 3 megapixel camera, AT&T Navigator and MediaFLO on that pretty little touch-screen. If you’ve been looking for an alternative to the Vu, this could be your ticket.

The Samsung Mirage, er… Eternity or whatever they end up calling it has been spotted in the wild. Looks like a pretty nice touch screen so far, much like the Omnia. Whether Samsung is trying to confuse everyone with all the numbers, or the constant change in names (if the names have actually been decided upon), one thing is for sure – all you Samsung fans out there have a lot to look forward to! It seems this phone will be a direct competitor to the LG Vu that AT&T is currently carrying as the A867 will have MediaFLO support. Other specs include a 3MP camera, 16GB expandable storage (perfect for the 16GB microSD cards SanDisk just busted out with a while back), AGPS, and a 3.5mm headset jack so you can use most of your favorite headphones for this bad boy. Look for it next month where it will likely run about $150 with contract and maybe a mail-in-rebate. We’ve also heard rumors that the LG Vu was in fact about to be end-of-lifed, so get ready for some turf wars.

That’s what our AT&T boys in blue are sayin’! Want some details on it? Well, it’s rumored to have all the usual AT&T stuff like AT&T Music, AT&T Video, AT&T Navigator, and more. But, it’s also going to have AT&T Mobile TV, too. The other specs are pretty well know: a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional device with a 5 megapixel camera with face detection, quad-band EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, 3.2″ WQVGA touch screen (sadly it’s 240×400), Bluetooth, and either 8GB or 16GB of internal memory. We’re working on some press shots for y’all, but in the meantime, go on and keep comparing it to the iPhone 3G…
