Apparently Nokia’s online sale last week was pretty effective because the Finnish manufacturer has decided to give it another go. This time around the sale is good at both Nokia Flagship Stores — in New York and Chicago — and online as well for those who don’t live near a shop. Here’s how this one shapes up:5800 $280.00E63 $195.00E66 $275.00E71 $285.00E75 ...

OK, so maybe black and red isn’t your thing and you’re looking for a slightly sexier, more functional Nokia handset. Moving right past the overpriced Nokia N96, the N85 is just what the doctor ordered for many. But, to tell the truth, the whole black/”copper” thing isn’t the best look for the handset in many opinions. Fret not, Symbian fans, as word of an all-black version will be great news to any potential N85 owners teetering due to looks. The all-black edition is indeed a NAM...

Just because it’s Christmas doesn’t mean that the mobile phone industry is safe from leaks. HoFo user clearskies08 has posted pictures which are purported to be from an internal Rogers and Fido flagship presentation. They reveal all of the flagship smartphones that the two carriers plan to release in 2009. Virtually every single phone in the line-up has been written about before in one way or another so we’ll spare you their specs, but rest assured, if even one quarter of the phones in the p...

Just a hair behind schedule according to Amazon’s recent pre-order page, the Nokia N85 NAM has officially started shipping. The N85 is almost universally accepted as Nokia’s true flagship Nseries for the time being, trumping the N96 in just about every area and shaving over $200 from the N96′s price tag. Featuring specs among the best of any multimedia-centric smartphone on the market today, the N85 can be considered a bargain with a price point just north of $550 that is sure to drop fast a...

Nokia fans here in the US might be upset about being just about entirely left out from the Black Friday chaos, but we do have some good news that might brighten up your day a bit. Despite the fact that the N96 is hailed as Nokia’s current Nseries flagship, most would agree it’s overpriced and under-powered. The N85 on the other hand, is just as capable if you dwell outside of DVB-H coverage and much more affordable. When all is said and done, we would call the N85 plenty more desirable as well, co...

It’s only been a few hours since we told you about the N96 hitting Best Buy and we’ve already forgotten about it. Why? The US-ized Nokia N85 is finally showing signs of life! We have seen two versions of the N85 pass through the FCC already, one with no 3G support and one with just a hint of US 3G (WCDMA 900/1900/2100). A few days ago a third version of the N85, clearly destined for use on AT&T’s 3G networks, was approved by the FCC. The documents clarify that the previously approved ...

Well, it didn’t take Nostradamus to predict which two handsets Nokia would be announcing this week. About two weeks ago it was leaked that Nokia would be holding a private online event detailing two new handsets that would become official this week. The obvious guess was that said handsets would be none other than the N85 and N79 and as it turns out, bloggers were right on the money. Thanks to a broken embargo from Pocket-lint, it’s now confirmed that Nokia made the two handsets official early thi...

Yep, this has Nseries event written all over it. Awkwardly secretive, selective audience, decent budget; when it comes to making bloggers feel special Nokia will always be the king. This coming Monday at 3:00 am EST Nokia will be holding a private online event that will showcase two upcoming Nokia handsets a week ahead of the official public Nokia announcement. The online shindig will will cover all the details about these two new handsets and will likely involve a couple of product managers to field some inq...

While everyone sits around waiting for the ever-delayed Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the first touchscreen S60 device that Nokia will issue, it looks like another first will be coming from Nokia long ahead of the Tube. Say hello to the Nokia N85. But wait, we’ve seen the N85 before so what’s the big deal? As we had heard a while back but not yet confirmed, the N85 will be the first S60 handset from Nokia to feature a tri-band WCDMA radio. In other words, one handset that will be compatible with 3G netw...

While the world waited with baited breath to tune in for every last word from the Apple keynote, live shots of three little Nokias crept out into the wild. The timing is very interesting. Perhaps even more interesting is the coincidence that two completely different sets of live N85 photos found their way onto the internet on the same day. Hmmmm. Is Nokia planting a few seeds in an effort to steal some of the limelight? We may never know. Regardless, pictured above from left to right you’ll find the N85...
