One of our sources spent some time with the upcoming T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide, codenamed Doubleshot, and he was able to snap a few quick photos of the device to show the world. It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and also features HTC’s latest Sense UI 3.0. We’ve been told the device runs “just as smoothly as the HTC Sensation” and is “much faster than the myTouch 4G.” An 8-megapixel camera is confirmed as is a shiny metal back cover, though our source indicates that the display isn’t 3D as had been rumored by other publications. In fact, the screen “isn’t anything to write home about,” but apparently the Android navigation buttons are softer than on the myTouch 4G and the slide-out QWERTY keyboard keys are “squishy” like the T-Mobile G2. T-Mobile is shooting for a launch during the first or second week in July, we’re told. One more shot after the break!

Motorola inadvertently went live with an upcoming website redesign on Tuesday evening, revealing six unannounced devices set to be released in the near future, reports claim. Before Motorola was able to pull the test site, cell phone blog Pocketnow.com was able to procure some telling screen grabs. Devices pictured include Motorola’s upcoming second-generation Android tablet, the XOOM 2, a watch phone codenamed “Tracey XL” after fictitious crime-fighting gadget hound Dick Tracey, and four smartphones: the ultra-thin Motorola “Slimline” and Motorola “Zaha,” the upcoming 4G LTE-enabled Motorola “Targa” and the Motorola “Pearl.” No further information about the devices was made available by the screenshots. Hit the break for more images of these unannounced Motorola devices.

Sure we’ve had some up close and personal time with the Nexus S 4G before, but now we can finally spend some quality one-on-one time with it as we compose our full review. So far we’re impressed with the speed at which we can zip around Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread), and we still love the contoured glass display. We’ve definitely been spoiled using the Super AMOLED Plus screens on the Samsung DROID Charge and the Samsung Infuse 4G, but our Nexus S 4G unit’s AMOLED display has a noticeable yellow tint that would bother us even if we hadn’t been using Samsung’s newer screens. Some users reported yellow discoloration on the original Nexus S after applying the Gingerbread update, so we’re hoping this could be a software fix or something that’s only limited to our phone. We’ll be working on a review over the next few days, but in the meantime be sure to check out our hands-on photo gallery.

We have been playing with HTC’s DROID Incredible 2 for the last day or so, and here’s some quick feedback and first impressions: For starters, the 4-inch screen size, while no doubt a personal preference, really seems to be the sweet spot for most Android handsets. It’s reasonably large, yet not too big to use one-handed, as some 4.3-inch devices seem to be. The screen itself is beautiful, but there is an unusually high glare on the display that can be a bit distracting. Beneath the display lies a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, an 8-megapixel camera with support for 720p HD video capture and the Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system. We’re really enjoying the styling and build materials of the Incredible 2; it’s a welcome update to original DROID Incredible, which was a bit plasticky. One issue with the build of the handset, however, is that front case and rear battery cover have been sandwiched together, and the seam is right in the middle around the entire outer edge of the phone. This impacts the feel of the phone when it is being held, and we’re not big fans. That’s probably the only negative thing we can find off the bat — and it’s not even a major issue, just a minor annoyance. All in all, the HTC DROID Incredible 2 seems to be a worthy upgrade over the original, but we’ll reserve final judgement for our upcoming review. With BlackBerry World set to kick off early next month, you can expect BlackBerry-related leaks to keep rolling in hot and heavy for the next few weeks. We’ve already exclusively handled RIM’s upcoming flagship smartphones — the BlackBerry Bold Touch, the BlackBerry Torch 2 and the BlackBerry Touch (Monaco/Monza) — but there are plenty more goodies just waiting to be unearthed. Expected to launch alongside BlackBerry OS 6.1, screenshots of BlackBerry Messenger have been posted to a BlackBerry enthusiast forum. The images show a slightly redesigned look and minor UX enhancements, but the full feature list is still unknown so there may still be a few tidbits yet to be revealed. It might not be the version of BBM we’re all anxious to see RIM launch, but it’s never a bad thing when the company adds new features to its beloved BlackBerry Messenger.

New, higher-resolution images of an upcoming refreshed MacBook Pro were revealed on Wednesday, giving us our first clear look at the laptop’s new Thunderbolt port. Seen here on the new 13-inch MacBook Pro model, Thunderbolt is Apple’s rebranded name for Intel’s new Light Peak high-speed wired connection technology. The image above also reveals specs for this particular model, which include a dual-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, a 320GB hard drive and an integrated “FaceTime HD camera.” Apple is expected to release its new MacBook Pro models tomorrow. Hit the break for one more shot.

It looks like Verizon Wireless’ Motorola DROID Pro won’t be the only device to bring the beloved BlackBerry keypad to Google’s Android platform for very long. Samsung appears to be prepping a portrait QWERTY offering of its own that places everyone’s favorite mobile keyboard beneath a touchscreen display. Details are very scare for the time being, but the presence of Sprint branding leads us to the obvious conclusion that this smartphone is headed to… Sprint. Sony Ericsson might not be ready to unveil the highly anticipated Xperia Play at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, but the world is most definitely ready to see this little guy get official. Perhaps in an effort to appease the masses of anxious mobile gamers waiting impatiently to get their mits on the upcoming PlayStation-branded Gingerbread phone, Chinese enthusiast blog IT168 has issued an extensive preview of the device. And when we say extensive, we mean it. Details found within the preview include confirmation of a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a Qualcomm Adreno 205 graphics processor, a 4-inch 854 x 480-pixel display, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 1,500 mAh battery, microSDHC support and 512 MB each of RAM and ROM. Feast your eyes, gamers, on what is purported to be none other than the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone. The handset that has been rumored for what seems like an eternity has finally materialized in a series of images that paint a pretty clear picture. Here’s what we know: the device features a landscape-oriented sliding touchscreen display that exposes dedicated gaming controls. It also runs Android and sports a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, microSD support and a special Sony Marketplace that will be home to games galore. Samsung has decided to pull all stops on its latest digital camera — the ST5500. This point-and-shoot sports a 14.2 megapixel sensor, Wi-Fi, 100MB on-board memory and microSD card support. For those of you who are into video, you’ll be happy to know that you can shoot footage at 30 fps with a 1280 x 720 resolution as well, which should make for some smooth playback. The 7x optical zoom camera also has a large 3.5″ LCD touchscreen on the back so everything should be more intuitive with less clutter and less buttons. With Wi-Fi built in, you can even send pictures via email and load videos straight into websites like YouTube or Vimeo. No word on pricing, but look for it to hit store shelves sometime in Q1 2010.

T-Mobile is launching a new device and service that could be hit or miss (we’re going with miss). It’s not a phone or phone accessory of any kind, but it’s a digital picture frame that will have a SIM card and phone number. Kinda stupid, right? The reason it’s not the brightest idea is because it costs $10 a month for the service – not to mention the cost of the device itself which is at a pricey $100. The picture frame will have a SIM card and its own number and the pictures will arrive via MMS. So, if you’re shooting it with your lowly 2.0 megapixel camera, don’t expect stunning quality. Calling it the “Cameo” (for its assumed brief appearance on the market), a consumer will be able to take a picture from their phone, send it to the picture frame, and it will pop up on display. While it’s a novel idea, there’s no reason they couldn’t have made it a Wi-Fi capable device and just send pictures via email or Internet. Here are some specs for this new… whatever you wanna call it:

Word from Verizon is that the new LG Decoy will be available this coming Monday for $179 with a new 2-year contract, no signing bonus, but we didn’t want to wait until then for new live pics. So behold. Truth be told, it’s not nearly as ugly as we thought it was – In fact, it’s kind of cool looking if you’re into that sort of thing. It still appears to be a finger print magnet however, but that’s apparently the price you pay for an integrated bluetooth headset. It’s very interesting to note that there are some major design discrepancies between these pics and the ones we saw last month. Namely, the trackball is now flat and brushed as opposed to rounded and shiny and the keypad is completely different. The old pics show a silver keypad with button strips that are attached in groups of three. This keypad, as you can see in the pics after the jump, is black and rubbery with a completely different design. Hmmm. It’s worth mentioning that these pictures resemble the press shots much more closely so perhaps the old pics show an early prototype. Jump!
