We reported on RIM’s 2012 release schedule earlier this week and now we’re back to paint a more complete picture with RIM’s full 2012 roadmap, which is loaded with information. The deck provides details on everything from the company’s upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook with built-in 3G, to the new Curve lineup including the BlackBerry Curve 9220 and BlackBerry Curve 9320, to new features like Wi-Fi media server sharing and more. From the calendar in the document, it looks like the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone, codenamed London, is currently scheduled for release in late September, but could be pushed to October based on the roadmap, which is a long way off considering we’re looking a a relatively slow three quarters leading up to BlackBerry 10. Speaking to reporters recently, AT&T’s General Counsel Wayne Watts said that AT&T’s planned $39 billion acquisition of T-Mobile is still on schedule for approval in March of next year. “The number one question I get from investors is can we get [the deal] done,” Watt explained.  “I think we can.” Sprint, one of the deal’s most outspoken opponents, has argued that AT&T does not need to purchase T-Mobile in order to increase its network capacity, and that the deal would “stifle innovation” in the U.S. wireless market. T-Mobile’s senior vice president of government affairs, Tom Sugure, responded to Sprint and other opponents on Tuesday, noting that each has “failed to offer any credible arguments to support their view that the Commission should deny the transaction.”

i.TV, as we’re sure most iPhone owners out there are well aware, is the premier app for all things TV and Movie-related. Think if it as your one-stop-shop for TV programming schedules, community-sourced reviews, local movie schedules, ticket purchasing, streaming trailers, Netflix queue management and so on. Oh yeah, and it’s free. The company just announced a new upcoming version this morning, version 2.0, and it brings with it a bunch of exciting new stuff including:

• New, streamlined UI
• iTunes integration — Initiate available episode/movie/podcast purchases from within the app
• Push notifications — Push alerts for upcoming show reminders, new episodes, etc
• Introduction of the i.TV Remote Control Framework — New support for universal remotes. Devices can be connected via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or dock-connector. The new version currently supports TiVo HD and TiVO HD XL boxes but more devices are on the way.

We’ve been playing with the new version for a couple of weeks now and in short, it’s awesome. i.TV is pushing to become the beginning and end of all things entertainment and so far the company is doing a bang up job. Before we even begin thinking about the rest of the Wii and DS titles Nintendo just announced… Punch-Out! Ok, now that that’s out of the way we can get down to business. Nintendo just unveiled its list of upcoming Wii and DS titles that will hit shelves between now and the Summer. The list is long and continuing record sales are inevitable — there really is something for everyone waiting in queue. Highlights as far as sales are concerned include Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits and a handful of children’s games on the DS, and The Conduit, EA SPORTS Active and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus for the Wii. Well hello there – Nothing quite like a leaked internal roadmap to cure even the most dire case of the Mondays. This table is chocked-full-o-goodies but don’t get too excited just yet. What we have here is reportedly an internal prototype roadmap of sorts. Several of the handsets on the list have likely been scrapped, re-specced or revised since this roadmap was put together. At the same time, we can dream can’t we? The are a bunch of sexy-sounding morsels on the list, including the 8 megapixel powerhouse “Corolla”, the wide touchscreen rocking “IP08″ and “Ivalo”, the Nseries-sounding QWERTY “Surfer” (you know, the one we learned about over a year ago) and the 640 x 350 touchscreen “Eitri” due internally early in 2009. A document leaked by VZW E, a well known tipster over at Howard Forums details the training dates of some upcoming Verizon Wireless smartphones. The Blackberry Storm and Touch Diamond were mentioned in a previous leak of training information but this information about the Samsung Omnia is new. Rumored to be coming to Verizon in November, previously leaked documents contained the very broad “coming in November” target release date. According to this new document, the Omnia training is slated to begin November 15th which means we can expect the Omnia to hit the shelves soon there after. The optimistic among us are hoping for a possible release during the last week of November but we will most likely see the phone arrive sometime in December. This is great news for all of you who are anxiously awaiting the Omnia but the document does leave us wondering what happened to the HTC XV6850 a.k.a. Touch Pro, and the Samsung i770 Saga both of which were rumored for a November release along with the Omnia. With no apparent training dates showing up on this document and rumors of delays circulating for both handsets, it looks like we may have to wait a bit before we can get our grubby mitts on the XV6850 or the i770.
