It looks as if we no longer have to wait on LG to complete a slow and painful unveiling of its brand new Black Label series phone — if this is the real deal, of course. A very convincing promotional video popped up on YouTube that, if genuine, not only gives us our first shots of the device but also details the majority of its specs. As expected, the BL40 appears to be a very formidable phone with features that include a 4-inch 345×800 capacitive touchscreen display (note the very unusual 21:9 aspect ratio) under scratch resistant glass, 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, 7.2Mbps UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, aGPS and the what appears to be a suped up S Class UI. While we feel it necessary to again stress that this video is in no way official yet and could certainly be a farce, we would love nothing more than to see this puppy materialize. If phones that would make most affordable digital point and shoot cameras blush are your thing, then you might want to take a moment to familiarize yourself with LG’s upcoming GC990 Louvre. Rushing past the awesome non-camera related specs that include a 3.2-inch 16:9 touchscreen display , Wi-Fi, aGPS, DNLA, TV-out, Bluetooth, XviD and DivX playback, the Louvre packs a powerful 12.1 megapixel shooter complete with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens and touch-focus capabilities. Film speed supposedly tops out at a whopping ISO 3200 for still images while video can be recorded at resolutions up to 720p at 30 fps. Sounds killer, right? We think so, too, with our only complaint being that a phone featuring the S-Class UI should have never been named after one of the most renowned art museums in the world. Today Verizon took the wraps off of three devices we feel like we already know all too well. Starting off with the successor to the Voyager, the evV TOUCH features a 3-inch touchscreen display on the exterior, a non-touch 3-inch display on the interior, full-QWERTY keypad, 3.2 megapixel camera with a Schneider Kreuznach lens and auto-focus, 3.5mm headphone jack and the ability to view Microsoft Office documents from a microSD card. The enV 3 features a full-QWERTY keypad as well, but it has a 2.6-inch external display coupled with a 1.56-incher on the inside and support for microSD cards up to 16GB. Moving on to the Glance, not much to see here other than the 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.5mm headphone jack and slim silhouette. All three devices feature GPS by way of VZ Navigator, mobile email, web and IM in addition to threaded SMS and MMS. The enV TOUCH will be available on June 5th for $149.99 after a $70 MIR with the Glance coming out the same day for $49.99 after a $50 MIR. The enV 3 will be available tomorrow for $129.99 after a $50 MIR.

When we showed you some exclusive pics of the LG enV Touch aka Voyager 2 we didn’t know a whole lot about the Verizon-bound device. Don’t worry though, as some new details have now emerged thanks to a leaked Verizon Equipment Guide. The handset will sport dual WVGA touchscreen displays, a full-QWERTY keypad, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, microSDHC support and a 3.2 megapixel camera with not only auto-focus and flash but a Schneider-Kreuznach lens as well. The enV Touch will also feature a UI that is quite similar to its predecessor the Voyager in many ways, with one of the most notable improvements being the Shortcut Menu that stores up to 15 shortcuts. As for when the enV Touch will hit the shelves, it’s anyone’s guess at this point. The fact that it was left off of the latest Verizon rebate sheet that is in effect until June 4th however, probably isn’t too comforting for those who have their hopes set of landing this device ASAP. While LG may have shown off the Viewty II at a trade show or two, it’s actual existence had never been officially acknowledged by the Korean company until now, as the handset has been officially featured on LG’s German blog. Although the company did reveal some very nice photos of the device which has also been given the nickname Viewty Smart, very little was mentioned in regards to the specs of the phone itself. However, since its spec sheet was captured by an eagle-eyed trade show attendee a few months back, we know the following:

• 12.4mm thin, 90g
• S-Class 3D UI
• 3-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) touchscreen display
• Quad-band GSM, HSPA, WiFi, aGPS
• 8 megapixel Schneider-Kreuznach camera, Xenon flash
• 32GB storage

Find it odd that the company would provide such a small amount of info on its blog? Yeah, it looks like there was a bit of a mix up as the post in question has since been pulled — though the bright side is that the blog now states more info will be available in a few days. Perhaps then we’ll get a better idea of pricing and release timing as well.

In a day and age where smartphones are king, there doesn’t seem to be much room or excitement for devices that lack the multi-tasking power of platforms such as WM 6.1, S60, and OS 4.6/4.7. So how is a dumbphone expected to get by? If Prada II by LG is anything of an indicator, it will take one hell of a pretty face and a rather formidable spec sheet. A touch screen slider, the Prada II features a dual-band 7.2Mbps HSDPA (850/2100 MHz) radio, Wi-Fi, 5 megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens and a full-HTML browser. Just as we called a while back. While no pricing has been announced, it is widely speculated that the final retail price will be around $800 USD/600€.
