After the long and arduous wait for the most hardcore Shadow fans, your day has come. Just like we promised, it is now available for your calling and messaging pleasure. This new iteration of the popular HTC device sports a faster processor and also supports T-Mobile HotSpot@Home, which makes it the first Windows Mobile phone to have that feature, and also means it has Wi-Fi (great news since it’s lacking in the HSDPA department). For $149.99 with a two-year contract and qualifying data plan, this is a pretty good deal if you’re up for renewal or looking for a mid-level smartphone. Next up in T-Mobile’s new line of phones is the Nokia 7510 Supernova. It’s a nice entry-level phone if you don’t need constant email access, web browsing and a million songs to cram into your phone. Here are the specs for the device:

Pretty basic, but at least the low-end market has some options, right? The phone also has changeable faceplates which come in espresso brown, fatal red and emerald green. Those colors sound pretty intense and will keep things fresh if you’re in the mood for something different every day. The 7510 also has Wi-Fi and supports T-Mobile HotSpot@Home calling, which is good for those of you who rack up minutes like crazy every month. It’s nice to see T-Mobile integrating this into their high and low-end phones. The Nokia 7510 will set you back a mere $49.99 with a two-year contract.

The Shadow II / Shadow 2 / Shadow 2009 / whatever else you want to call it, is quite the polarizing device. People are either sitting on the edges of their seats in anticipation of its release, or they think it’s hideous. Either way, we now have a rumored release date, giving T-Mobile customers a good idea of when their next Windows Mobile smartphone option might become available. That date: January 28th – a Wednesday. Sources weren’t cited but TmoNews seems pretty confident so we’ll just hope for the best. For a quick history lesson, we first scooped the Shadow II waaaaaay back in October of 2007 and then the first live image surfaced in April of this year. Since then nearly all of the gaps have been filled in but there are still a few mysteries – namely, will the device have a 3G radio? If the 28th of next month does indeed turn out to be an accurate release date, expect answers to come in the form of an official announcement that will likely coincide with CES next month.

Following up on their popular and consumer-friendly T-Mobile Shadow, the boys in pink are releasing the Shadow 2. While we’ve seen it before, from these pics, it looks a little better and definitely a nice successor to the original. The keyboard still features the two-letters-per-key, which some are not a huge fan of, and reveals itself when the phone slides open. This will be the first device to feature Windows Mobile 6.1 with UMA capabilities. Everyone who has a HotSpot@Home account now has more options in terms of phone selection – good call on HTC and T-Mobile’s part. As far as we know, this little bugger is slated for an October 15 release on T-Mobile and will likely be $149.99 with new contract and mail-in rebate. There aren’t too many other details on the device for now, especially whether it will support T-Mobile’s new 3G network (let’s hope, but doubt it), but we’ll keep all our faithful readers updated as we can! If this one turns out to be true, it looks like the Windows Mobile faithful might finally have access to T-Mobile’s UMA network. According to the DigiTimes, the T-Mobile Shadow II will sport Hotspot@Home compatibility, allowing users to make voice calls over their existing Wi-Fi network. Hotspot@Home has been available for quite some time, but has yet to make the jump to the Windows Mobile platform. Unfortunately, DigiTimes is also reporting that the device won’t launch until sometime during Q4 of this year, which is a bit later than we initially anticipated. Can we wait that long for the debut of this HTC-soured device? Probably not, but we’ll take our chances.
