While many of you spent last night watching grown men pummel one another into submission, we here at BGR put in some over time so we could get to the bottom of the pricing of some upcoming AT&T smartphones. And just as you would expect, we’ve come through. First off we have two HTC offerings, the Tilt2 (Touch Pro2) and Pure (Touch Diamond2). On contract and after applying $50 MIRs, we’ve heard the Tilt2 will be $299.99 while the Pure will go for $199.99. Off contract, you’re looking at $499.99 and $349.99 respectively. Second, we have the Garmin-ASUS nüvifone G60 which will finally ditch its North American vaporware status when it hits retail shelves with the 2-year price of $299.99

Off contract, the G60 will command $549.99, a princely sum, indeed. Unfortunately we’ve not been able to confirm the AT&T Pure or nüvifone G60 release dates, but we do have a pretty accurate idea on the Tilt 2. Still, we’d expect to see all three of these devices before the end of October based upon the fact that this is when these prices are effective until.

UPDATE: We’ve just been sent a photo of the pricing for the AT&T Pure which shows it actually going for $149.99 with a two-year agreement.

Some good news for Windows Mobile fans hit the interwebs this morning as two Verizon-bound WinMo handsets get spec’d and a third shows itself in a slightly updated render. First up, the CDMA variant of HTC’s Touch Diamond2, codenamed Whitestone. Pictured above at the far left, specs are looking like this:

GSM/CDMA World phone

Rumor has it the Diamond2 will be making its way to Big Red sometime in September or October and we can only hope the release version sheds that crazy mesh pattern from the case. Hit the jump for details on the HTC Mega and a new render of the Tachi.

Next up is the HTC Mega, pictured for the first time (top middle). It’s not shaping up to be the most exciting handset HTC has ever produced, but at least we’re looking at WinMo 6.5 at launch:

Windows Mobile 6.5

Qualcomm 7225 processor @ 528 MHz

256MB ROM/256MB RAM

2.8-inch QVGA (240×320)

GSM/GPRS/EDGE/HSDPA

3 megapixel fixed-focus camera

gpsOne

3 megapixels, huh? Expect this to be among the more affordable WinMo 6.5 handsets HTC churns out in the near future. Last and most likely least we have an updated render of the HTC Tachi, a China-bound handset of little interest:

Windows Mobile 6.1

Dual CDMA/GSM radio

2.8-inch 480×640 pixel display

WiFi

Bluetooth 2.0

3.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus

Front facing camera

MicroSD slot

There’s a reason companies around the world often go to HTC when they need to outsource handsets — they’re without a doubt among the best when it comes to build, form and design. This year at CTIA, the HTC Snap announced this morning was the only new addition the company showed off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take another look at two of the most exciting upcoming handsets currently on deck too, right? Hit the jump and get your gawk on.

First up, a few more shots of the Snap. As you can see, the Inner Circle feature wasn’t live yet on the handset which is a shame because we definitely wanted to check it out. As for the hardware itself, it feels great. The dimensions are ideal for a work horse candybar, the keypad is surprisingly inviting and the handset has that nice rubbery feel a la the HTC Touch.

Next up, the handset we can’t wait to get back at BGR HQ so we can abuse the hell out of it: The Touch Pro2. Just look at it… That sleek case, that giant sliding/pivoting touchscreen, that spacious QWERTY keypad; it’s all good, literally. The Pro2 is a bit of a beast though, but sacrifices must be made in order to stuff all that sexy into one package.

Last but certainly not least is Pro2′s little cousin, the HTC Touch Diamond2. As you well know, it’s basically a Pro2 sans-QWERTY — just like the original Diamond and Pro. Same giant touchscreen, same sexy TouchFLO 3D UI over Windows Mobile and same attention to detail. If a QWERTY isn’t your thing and WinMo doesn’t make you head for the hills, the Diamond2 is definitely a contender to be your next handset. Definitely.

Remember that leaked HTC 2009 roadmap? Well, it turns out, that thing was pretty spot on. HTC has just gone and announced updates to their ever-popular handsets, the Touch Diamond and Touch Pro. The Touch Diamond2, as you might have guessed, is the new Touch Diamond. It adds a larger display (3.2″ WVGA with touch sensitive zoom bar), a new and improved TouchFLO 3D and 5 megapixel camera. All in an updated and refined exterior casing.

Here’s where things get really interesting, though… We were lucky enough to get some hands on time with the Touch Diamond2 and Touch Pro2, but oh boy, the Touch Pro2 really stole the spotlight. We’re talking about Windows Mobile phone of the year and it’s only February! The Touch Pro2 is a mash-up of the TyTN II, the Touch HD, and the Touch Pro (yes, the tilting screen is back). It has a huge 3.6″ WVGA screen, one of the best QWERTY keyboards we’ve ever seen, a brand new TouchFLO 3D (it includes HTC’s Straight Talk which combines all communication into a fluid UI. Think Palm Pre-esque) and a really cool feature that activates the speakerphone when the phone is flipped upside down. Oh yeah, there’s a mute button on the back of the device for when you want to mute the conference. Awesome. Sadly the camera did not get upgraded to 5 megapixels (something that really would have absolutely sealed the deal) but there’s always the Touch Pro3. Nokia N97, what?

Look for both handsets to start appearing in Europe around the start of Q2. Hit the jump for more images and full press release!
