HTC just sent us an invitation for a press event that will be held in New York City on September 20th. We’re not sure what will be unveiled; the company already announced two new Windows Phone devices, the Titan and the Radar, but it is certainly possible we will hear more about U.S. versions of those phones. On Wednesday, HTC announced that it had invested $300 million in Beats by Dre, which will see its audio tech integrated into HTC phones moving forward. Now, rumor has it that HTC’s first smartphone to include Beats technology could be the Vigor, a device that is said to resemble the HTC Thunderbolt on Verizon. Verizon Wireless has a blockbuster smartphone and tablet lineup planned ahead of the holiday shopping season this year according to a purported leaked roadmap. Published on Wednesday by IGN, the roadmap reveals numerous previously unheard of devices. Hooray for non-information! Hunting for trademarks is the latest trend in terms of ongoing efforts to prowl on handset manufacturers and dig up any possible bit of minutiae related to unannounced handsets.
