New spy shots of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, codenamed “Vulcan”, have emerged from the forums over at fanklub.se. The successor to the current X1 is looking dapper in its black casing, black keyboard and silver bezel. On the back, the Windows Mobile handset sports an 8 megapixel camera with flash. SonyStyle.com used to report a shipping date of December 8th for the X1a, but that date has came and went (almost). We rung up our rep at Sony Cierge (Sony’s concierge service) on Madison Avenue in New York City, and they advised us that the X1a will not be shipping until January 9th. At post time SonyStyle.com is now reporting a January 12th ship date. Oh well.
