Nexus Q: social streaming media player announced [video]

During its annual I/O Developer Conference on Wednesday, Google announced the Nexus Q. The device is labeled as a “social streaming media player” that can stream entertainment from Google Play and YouTube to different speakers and television sets. The Nexus Q can be controlled by an Android smartphone or tablet running Android 2.3 Gingerbread or higher and will be available for $299.99 in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
