Experience
After spending a year in marketing communications with Toronto-based firm 55rush, Phaedra got her foot in the door as an editorial freelancer during her university years in the mid-2010s. She specialized in academic and non-fiction editing for graduate students and professors, which led her to join Scribendi as a contract editor in 2017. She began working in labor relations administration in the same year, then pivoted briefly into the corporate world from 2024 to 2025 as an operations specialist. In 2026, she returned to her editorial roots and happily landed at BGR as a full-time editor.
Education
In 2020 (yep), Phaedra received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in New Media from Toronto Metropolitan University. She also achieved a Professional Editing Standards certificate from Queen's University in 2022.
