Experience
After obtaining a degree in software development, Branden instead found himself drawn to journalism at the advice of a friend. In 2017, he began his career as a news reporter, covering the latest PC software, hardware, and peripherals on the market. Over the next five years, he advanced to lead managing editor, covering annual events like the Consumer Electronics Show and reporting on new sustainability tech. In 2022, he shifted focus to evergreen content at TheGamer, where he remained until a restructuring in 2025. Now he has committed to freelancing, writing product reviews, technical support guides, and critical commentary for indie and major outlets. Branden joined Static Media to continue his contributions to tech journalism through industry news coverage at BGR.
