How Much Would It Cost To Subscribe To Every Major Streaming Service?

Streaming services offer consumers the means to access a wide variety of TV shows, movies, podcasts, and more at the click of a button. The convenience and content depth they offer, however, do not come without a price. As you stack on more and more services to access specific content, the collective monthly bill will quickly grow. Certain major services can cost less than $10 a month if you purchase their lower, ad-based tiers. That, however, doesn't change the fact that streaming services siphon a substantial amount of your hard-earned cash from your bank account when you're subscribed to all of them.

If you were to have a subscription to every major streaming service (Netflix, the Disney+ with Hulu bundle, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Paramount Plus, Peacock, and Apple TV Plus) at their lowest tier, the total monthly cost would be $77. Conversely, users who sign up for each app's premium subscription would rack up a collective monthly bill of $119. Other bill totals could fall within that range depending on the tier combination you choose. They could also increase if you piled on other, more niche services to your library like The Criterion Channel, Mubi, or Shudder.

There are ways to save on streaming subscriptions

If you're on a budget or are simply looking to lower your monthly streaming bill, your first option could be to cancel some of your subscriptions. If you're unable to part with any services, there also exist great streaming deals that could help you save on your streaming expenses. The Disney Plus, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle, for example, packages all three services together for either $21.99 or $34.99 a month, depending on whether you choose ads or not, rather than paying $24 or $43 to subscribe to them separately. Apple TV and Peacock also share a bundle going for $17.99 or $22.99 a month for the premium and premium plus tiers, respectively. The package deal saves subscribers approximately $8 to $10 a month for both services combined.

Third parties also offer deals to help you save on your overall streaming bill, but with the added price of using that company's services. Verizon, for example, offers a Netflix and HBO Max ad tier bundle for $13 a month — a $6.98 discount — for its customers. Walmart Plus members are also afforded access to their choice of either Peacock or Paramount Plus as a subscription perk. Some streaming services also offer discounted subscriptions for students and veterans — albeit usually with ads.

The latter group, for example, may access Hulu for 25% off via an Exchange exclusive offer, while students can access it for $6.99 as part of their Spotify Premium Student plan. Certain services, like Peacock, offer discounted ad-based streaming plans for medical personnel and first responders. Paramount Plus also provides cheaper subscriptions for teachers, including 50% off any plan, allowing some to lower their total monthly streaming bills even further.
