Brendan Knapp produced live television news from 2004 to 2021, primarily in San Francisco (2012-2018), where he covered the Bay Area tech scene. He earned a 2018 Emmy nomination at KGO and a 2021 Murrow Award at KOIN in Portland for breaking news coverage of deadly wildfires. Today he's a freelance journalist and communications consultant, writing about health tech, quality assurance testing, and parenting in the screen era. He's contributed to Business Insider, Parents.com, Inverse, and New Scientist.

Education

Brendan earned a bachelor's degree in public relations from Western Michigan University, where he wrote for The Western Herald. He also completed a professional writing certificate through UC Berkeley Extension.
