Every Samsung Phone Getting The One UI 9.0 Beta Update So Far

After debuting on Samsung's latest foldable smartphones and the Galaxy S26 FE, One UI 9.0 is getting closer to release on the company's other phones. It's currently in beta testing, which started in May 2026 with the company's Galaxy S26 series. Samsung has gradually added more phones to the One UI 9.0 Beta program, which now includes over 20 devices. Although a majority of these phones are the company's flagship and high-end models from the last few years, the company has managed to sneak in some mid-range and budget phones, indicating it's hard at work on developing One UI 9 for every Samsung phone that's getting Android 17. Keep in mind the One UI 9.0 beta is live in the U.S., the U.K., Germany, India, Poland, and South Korea, and you can sign up for it using the Samsung Members app.

One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17, which is the newest version of Google's operating system and was released to the public on June 16, 2026. Like most previous years, Google's Pixel lineup was first to receive the Android 17 update. It packs several improvements, including better multitasking, improved gaming on foldables, and new security features. Although Samsung hasn't shared a fixed date for the One UI 9 stable rollout, it's expected to start soon.

As four Samsung phones are already running on One UI 9, we have a fair idea of what to expect from it on the company's older phones. One UI 9 packs several upgrades to Galaxy AI, which is Samsung's AI implementation. Galaxy AI will bring a new feature called Now Nudge to keep your schedule moving without you having to worry about it. You'll also get My FanCam, which uses AI to put a selected person in focus in your already captured shots and reframe everything into new aspect ratios for better sharing online. Now Brief is another Galaxy AI feature in One UI 9 that creates personalized briefings for you to remain on top of everything that you typically do on your phone.

Other changes that you can expect to see in One UI include an updated Samsung Notes app with new tools and an improved Quick Panel for better control over what you want to see and adjust quickly. One UI 9 also makes it easier to switch from an iPhone to a Galaxy device. Samsung's Smart Switch app will be able to import passwords, call history, accessibility settings, and eSIM information. This is in addition to stuff like photos, messages, contacts, calendars, and apps that it's also able to bring. 

Moreover, accessibility tools are getting beefed up, with better mouse pointer control, combined functionalities of Google and Samsung's implementation of TalkBack, and a new Text Spotlight feature to highlight the text you have selected in a floating window. Finally, your phone's security and privacy section will highlight exactly what different AI assistants are accessing on your phone and when.
